Day 7: Sapporo → Asahikawa
Into Hokkaido’s rugged soul. A day of sacred cliffs, zoos like no other, and alpine adventures off the beaten path.
Day 8: Asahikawa → Lake Saroma
From alpine peaks to coastal serenity. Lake Saroma offers peaceful drives, vast wetlands, and wild flower paths.
Day 9: Exploring the Nearby Lakes
Northern Hokkaido’s lake trio is eerie, dramatic, and hauntingly peaceful. A slow, beautiful day on the water.
Day 10: Lake Abashiri → Shiretoko Peninsula
Welcome to the edge of the world. Shiretoko is where wild Hokkaido roars—seals, waterfalls, and epic coastlines await.
Day 11: Shiretoko → Lake Mashu (via Kussharo)
From the wild coast to the crater lakes of the gods. Volcanoes, steaming rocks, sacred lakes—this is Hokkaido’s spiritual and geological core.
Day 12: Lake Mashu → Kushiro Shitsugen National Park
Hokkaido’s gentle farewell: cranes, marshes, and wide open skies. This is the soft, soul-touching side of the north.
Day 13: Kushiro → Obihiro
From marshlands to meadows. Obihiro charms with flowers, forests, ponies, and a calming blend of nature and local culture.
Day 14: Obihiro → Hokkaido Nomad Rental Car (Sapporo or New Chitose)
The last stretch—make it sweet. One final morning among blooms, coffee, horses or soft-serve before rolling into the sunset.
